Captain John’s experience really showed—he put us right on the spots for big bull reds and trout. He was patient, focused, and quick to make a move when the bite slowed down. You can tell he’s passionate about getting you on fish. It was an excellent trip from start to finish.

We had an awesome time fishing with Captain John. He got us on the fish right away and kept us moving just enough to stay on the bite—no time wasted in slow spots or long rides. The morning half-day trip was the perfect length, but be sure to start at 6 AM to avoid the heat and don’t forget bug spray. I highly recommend this trip, and if you want the perfect ending, take your fresh catch to JB’s Fish Camp at the dock—they’ll cook it up, and it’s delicious!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—Captain John is top-notch. He’s taken my wife and me out 4 or 5 times now, and this trip we brought our 12-year-old granddaughter who had no fishing experience. Not only did she catch the most fish, but she also landed the biggest trout of the day. Captain John made sure we all had a great time on the water. Semper Fi, Marine.

Captain John knows his stuff. I’ve been fishing my whole life and have been on plenty of guided trips—he stands out. He’ll go above and beyond to get you on the fish. I don’t usually take the time to leave reviews, but this one is well deserved. Captain John is one of the best out there, and I highly recommend him.

We thoroughly enjoyed our fishing trip and highly recommend it! My girlfriend and her three children loved it. Fish for trout, spend time in the water, spot wildlife (dolphins, manatees, sharks, stingrays, and more). Captain John was patient and kind to my children. Because they had a curiosity and a desire to do whatever he did - so he taught them! They liked his story and added their own. Overall, can't wait to come back. Thank you Captain John!

I had a wonderful experience with Captain John. We caught fish in the first place and it was the same for the rest of our trip! Despite uncooperative winds, we caught fish. Captain John is very knowledgeable about the area and the techniques used to catch the fish. My daughter is an inexperienced fisherman and she took the time to help her with her fishing. She caught her 4 pounds. Trout and her first red fish. Also had an 8 lb redfish along with some trout in the 18-19 inch range. If you want a good fishing experience book Captain John. I know I'm going on my next vacation.

John is wonderful, very knowledgeable and would recommend him to anyone interested in fishing or catching fish. We pushed ourselves to the limit, so much fun and a great guy. I have been with other guides who weren't as good as him but I have no doubt I will be using him again soon. Craig Wood.
